Chatbot AI privacy policy

What this app collects, why it collects it, and what you can ask us to delete.

Chatbot AI helps you write, learn and organize a personal notebook. This policy explains what the app processes, what stays on your device and how to control or delete your information.

Delete your account or request help

You can request deletion without reinstalling Chatbot AI. Open the Chatbot AI support form, choose the subject “Delete my Chatbot AI account”, and give the email address associated with your account. Tell us whether you want the account and all associated data deleted or only particular data removed. Do not include your password, payment details or private documents. We may need to verify that the request belongs to you before acting on it.

In the app, open Settings → Account & sync → Delete account and data. This starts deletion of the current account, its cloud notebook and associated app data. The app shows progress and lets you resume an interrupted request. Guest users can use the same in-app path. Without an email-linked account or the original installation, we may be unable to identify a guest's records from an email request alone.

Deletion does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Manage or cancel billing through the store where you subscribed. You do not need to wait for a subscription to expire before requesting account deletion. Copies you exported or shared are outside the app's control.

Minimal security and deletion records may remain to prevent replay, fraud and accidental account recreation, enforce usage limits, and record completed requests. These do not preserve your deleted notebook content. Store providers keep their own transaction records under their policies.

Your notebook and account

Conversations, drafts, saved notes, workspaces and preferences are stored on your device. Signing out leaves the local notebook on that device. Anyone who can access the unlocked app may be able to read it. Temporary conversations are excluded from saved history and cloud sync; using AI within them still involves the processing described below.

AI access uses a Firebase account, which can begin as a guest identity. If you create an email account, Firebase processes your email address and authentication information for sign-in, verification and recovery. The app does not receive your plaintext password from Firebase. Cloud sync is explicit: when you choose Sync notebook, the app sends the selected local notebook's conversations, notes and workspaces to our server and retrieves your account's cloud data.

AI, documents, images and voice

AI processing requires your permission. Prompts, relevant conversation context, selected files and instructions are sent to our server and AI service providers to produce the requested result. Providers include OpenRouter and its selected model providers, including OpenAI, Google and Perplexity. Image generation and editing use Google's models through OpenRouter. Research may send queries to a search-enabled provider and return links to external websites.

Avoid including confidential, highly sensitive or unnecessary personal information. AI can make mistakes; check important answers. Provider processing and retention are subject to the services' applicable terms and privacy practices. We do not promise that a temporary conversation prevents processing or retention by those providers.

You choose individual documents or photos through system pickers. Camera and microphone access are requested when needed. Dictation uses the device's speech-recognition service, which may process audio through Apple or Google depending on device settings and availability. Recognized text can then be submitted as a prompt. Spoken playback uses the device's speech service.

Uploaded files and transient generation records expire after 24 hours in our application database; expired records are removed by periodic cleanup. Saved local or synced notebook copies remain until you remove them. Removing an uploaded file does not erase replies already created from it.

Purchases and service security

Apple and Google process subscription payments. We receive product, transaction and entitlement information needed to provide access, restore purchases and prevent misuse, not your full card details. Our server may retain encrypted purchase references and account associations for those purposes.

Firebase Authentication and App Check, device-held signing keys, installation identifiers and bounded request records protect access and enforce limits. Service infrastructure also processes network information such as IP addresses when handling requests. Daily usage counters are retained for up to 35 days; short-lived replay and rate-limit records are cleaned up after their useful window.

Optional diagnostics and reports

Analytics and crash reporting are separate choices in Settings, off by default. If enabled, Google Firebase Analytics receives product-interaction and device/session information, and Firebase Crashlytics receives crash, device and technical diagnostic information. App-authored events exclude prompt text, answers, filenames and account details. Crash-collection changes take effect on the next launch as explained in Settings.

The app does not use advertising identifiers, advertising personalization or cross-app advertising tracking. We do not sell notebook content. You can explicitly share a bounded connection-diagnostics file through the system share sheet; it is not automatically sent to support.

If you report an AI response, the content you select and your report are sent for investigation and retained for up to 90 days. Support forms process the contact information and message you provide so we can respond. Do not send secrets in reports or support messages.

Your choices

You can withdraw AI permission and change diagnostics choices in Settings. Your saved local notebook remains available when AI processing is off. Device settings control camera, microphone and speech permissions. You can export notebook data, delete local content and request account or cloud-data deletion. External sites and apps you choose for sharing have their own policies.

Our infrastructure and service providers may process information in countries outside your own. Contact us through the support form to ask about access, correction, deletion or another privacy concern. This page will reflect material changes to the app's data practices.
